From the Fishertown

The 'From the Fishertown' exhibition looks at life in the fishertown during the nineteenth century, and the conditions that drove people to leave around the turn of the twentieth century.

The exhibition is based on the detailed and moving 1905 photographs taken by Willie John Smith and follows family histories from the Fishertown, looking at the lives of the emigrants and what happened to their descendants.
