Cromarty History Society
The Cromarty History Society is also the friends group for Cromarty Courthouse Museum, and we very much appreciate their support.
Like the Courthouse the history society is run by volunteers. Each year they organise a stimulating programme of talks that run from autum through to Easter. The evenings are not only a good opportunity to get some fasinating historical insights - but also to enjoy a chat with friends and neighbours over a cup of tea or coffee.
The meetings are held from autumn to spring on the third Thursday of each month at 7.30pm in the West Church Hall, Cromarty.
The next History Society talk is on Thursday 18th October
entitled The Yankee Mining Squadron: Impact on the Inverness Firth in 1918
by Richard Jenner
